Slate Tiles & Flooring

Welsh, Brazilian and Indian slate tiles for floors, hearths and walls. Riven and honed finishes, multi-tonal and graphite options. UK delivery.

Slate is the most forgiving natural stone for a working home — dark, dense, and almost impossible to mark. We supply Welsh slate (the deepest, most uniform graphite), Brazilian (a softer black with quartz veining), and Indian multi-tonal (the warm copper and rust palette common in country kitchens).

A riven finish keeps the natural cleft of the stone for a more traditional, hand-split read; honed slate flattens the surface and brings out the colour, working well in contemporary schemes. All formats are suitable for underfloor heating, hearths and wood-burner surrounds.

When specifying slate for floors, we recommend a colour-enhancing sealer — it deepens the natural pigment and protects against staining. Samples are free and posted within 48 hours.
